Today I Will Keep My Eyes Focused on Jesus
January 25 – Today meditate on: Today I Will Keep My Eyes Focused on Jesus
Beholding the Teacher
Isaiah 30:20, “…but your eyes shall constantly behold your Teacher.”
“Constantly beholding your (my) Teacher” what a powerful statement. How could we behold if we are not focused on, nor looking for our Teacher? “Practice the presence of God,” Bro. Lawrence tells us. Yes, practicing beholding the manifested presence of God in our everyday lives is essential. If we’re not looking for Him, we won’t see Him. We must remember to “look” for Him as He touches each and every detail of our lives.
Let’s determine to have eyes that see and ears that hear. “I will be fully satisfied, when I awake [to find myself] beholding Your form [and having sweet communion with You],” Ps. 17:15.
Psalm 37:3, “Trust in the Lord and do good…”
Vs.. :4, “Seek your happiness in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desire.”
Vs. :5, “Give yourself to the Lord; trust in Him and He will help you.”
Vs. :3, RV, “Feed on His faithfulness.”
From Streams in the Desert: “It’s all dem supposes as is makin’ you so mis’able. You’d better give dem all up, and just trust de Lord.” Hebrews 13:5-6. (NS)
