Pastor Roi has an extensive background in ministry and has been a very well seasoned Minister of the Gospel. He has an AA Degree in Theology, BBA in Finance, Economics, Masters of Arts, Religious Education and a Masters in Theology. Roi Garcia speaks English, Spanish, and Hebrew and has been a much sought after Key Note speaker at many conferences around the world. He is a teacher of Prophecy and worked for the Israeli Government, U.S. Mission for 12 years. Presently, he is in contract with Thomas Nelson for the publication of his book: Beginnings, Hebrew Insights to the Scriptures.
Before all of this, long before birth, Roi has had ministry running thick in his veins, stemming from his family tree of ministers. The call of ministry can’t seem to escape the Garcia family and is still very much alive in Pastor Roi’s own family. Roi is married to Mari Garcia, who is from the Canary Islands, Spain. Mari has been in ministry since she was 18 years old and was the founder of Teen Challenge in the Canary Islands. She continues to do many great things for God! Roi is also father to 5 wonderful children who truly love the Lord. The oldest, Candace Joy Hyslip, pastors in Phoenix, Arizona beside her husband Tim Hyslip. Baruch Roi Garcia is at the University of Texas in Austin and is in the Physics Program. Joshua Troy Garcia is a Jr. at the University of San Antonio getting his Degree in Business. Benjamin Raphael Garcia is a freshman at U.T. in Austin, Texas and his youngest, Natanya Victoria Garcia, is in the 5th grade. Pastor Roi is a family man who has stood strong as the spiritual head of his house and is seeing the fruit of his un-wavering faith in Christ.
During his more recent ministry as Senior and Founding Pastor of Baruch HaShem Congregation, Pastor Roi and Dr. Dan Thomson formed a working relationship, which quickly flourished into a friendship, when Pastor Dan and Church on the Rock began a new beginning as Emmanuel Worship Center, some time ago. Pastor Dan, knowing his time as Senior Pastor of EWC was drawing near, began to seek God as to who would be the next Shepherd. He soon received his answer! Pastor Roi Garcia would be the one to take hold of the spiritual reigns as Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Worship Center. With much prayer and much joy, Pastor Roi accepted!
Though Pastor Roi has had a highly successful track record in ministry and all that he has done in his life, he is still humbled by the all consuming love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is a man of integrity and his heart is to truly see the sinner reconciled to Christ, come into a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Savior. His vision for the people of Emmanuel Worship Center goes much further than Sunday morning services. Roi believes in doing much more to reach the community, bring food and recovery to the homeless, showing love and help to the widows, strongly supporting missions and people around the world, and so much more. The true ministry of Jesus and doing what He did is what you will find at Emmanuel Worship Center and in the mind of Pastor Roi Garcia. He believes in building and strengthening, lives, marriages, and families with a firm teaching and deeper understanding of the Word of God, an immovable foundation with your relationship with Christ, life principles, home group fellowships, and simply just doing more to expand the Kingdom of God.
