I Will Trust God
December 3 – Today meditate on: I Will Trust God
Simply DO NOT FEAR!
Read: Isaiah 42:1,4,10,14,16,21; 41:10; 43:1-5,10-11,18-21,24-25.
Over and over again God tells us, commands us, “invites” us not to fear – “taste and see that the Lord is good.” Jesus says, “COME unto me and I will give you rest. Come, ‘taste’ of My love, joy, peace, goodness, faithfulness, and mercy. I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.”
Over and over He also says: “TRUST ME.” If we are ever going to have an effective life for Christ we must walk with Him totally, confidently, unwavering, trusting HIM to take care of us. “He said it and that settles it!” No doubting, just simply believing with a child-like faith and trust. He WILL do what He has promised! Look back over your life and see what God has done for you. He IS faithful! He is trustworthy! He is gracious, kind, loving, merciful, and on and on the list continues.
Perfect love (God’s love) casts out all fears, 1 John 4:18. If we are believers, then we have this perfect love in us through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. In Psalms it says, “What time I am afraid I will trust in You.” Psalm 56:3.
Pray: “Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great love which casts out all fear from my life. As I hold onto Your hand today I have nothing to fear for “greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.” “I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus Who infuses me with inner strength.” Praise God for victory in Jesus!” (NS)
