I Live By Faith in the Word of God

December 17 – Today meditate on: I Live By Faith in the Word of God

Habakkuk 2:4b, “…but the righteous will live by his faith —”

Habakkuk 2:14, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

Habakkuk 2:20, “But the LORD is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him.”

Habakkuk 3:2, “LORD, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, O LORD. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known…”

“Yes, Lord, we have heard of Your fame, we stand in awe of Your deeds toward men. Please ‘renew them in our day in our time make them known.’ For we desire to see Your glory cover the earth. May Your glory shine through us out to the dying world around us. May Your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven. Have Your way in our land, and heal our land we pray. Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us. For great is Your mercy toward the righteous. In Jesus Name we pray.”

Start a quiet-time journal of your own. At lunch you can get by yourself, or with someone who desires to know more of God, and feed your spirit on spiritual food (the Bible). Your spirit must daily have spiritual nourishment just like your body needs physical nourishment. If you feed your flesh three good meals a day plus snacks, and your spirit only gets “one measly ham sandwich” a week (a few minutes reading the Bible), which one is going to win in your life?  Your flesh will win because your spirit is undernourished.
