God Will Toughen Me to Be Able to Handle Difficulties
February 3 – Today meditate on: God Will Toughen Me to Be Able to Handle Difficulties
Hardened to Difficulties
Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not; [there is nothing to fear] for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you [to difficulties]; yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My victorious right hand of rightness and justice.”
“I am with you… I will strengthen and harden you [to difficulties]…” I feel in these days we are living in, that God is busy toughing-up His saints because the world around us is getting crazier and crazier. Times are tough. We must be made strong in the Lord or at the first gust of wind of adversity we will crumble and fall. Men are not made into soldiers by sleeping on soft feather beds, they are made by forced marches. Soldiers give over all their rights when they enlisted. No one asks them when they want to get up, nor anything else about their day or life, for that matter. The are told all day long what to do, and when, and how to do it. Will YOU be willing to enlist in God’s Army and for Him to be Lord of your life, and give over your rights to your way in your life to Him? Can you say, “Here I am, Lord, send me?” God is seeking empty “vessels” (empty of self) that are ready for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
This verse is interesting: Isaiah 45:11-12, “Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: Would you question Me of things to come concerning My children, and concerning the work of My hands command Me? I made the earth, and created man upon it…”
Are you allowing the Lord to have His way in your life? (NS)
