God Will Never Leave Me Nor Forsake Me
December 28 – Today meditate on: God Will Never Leave Me Nor Forsake Me
“Praise the Lord! For all who fear God and trust in Him are blessed beyond expression. Yes, happy is the man who delights in doing His commands.” Psalm 112:1 TLB.
Psalm 118, “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever….He answered me by setting me free. The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid….The LORD is with me; He is my helper. …It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. …I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. …I WILL enter and give thanks to the LORD. …I WILL give You thanks, for You answered me; You have become my salvation. ….This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
It says in Proverbs a cheerful heart is medicine to my bones or body; it is health and healing to my soul.
O that we would learn to “give life the light touch” and not be so serious nor so glum. In America we take life so seriously. The Christian life is to be fun —joyful — Jesus said, “I have come so that your joy may be full,” happiness, peace – the peace that passes all understanding, full of strength and glory – “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength,” etc.
Today accept the “gifts” from God of peace, and joy, and laughter, and abundant life in Christ Jesus! (NS)
