God Will Forever Hold My Hand
February 4 – Today meditate on: God Will Forever Hold My Hand
Isaiah 41:13, “For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; I, Who say to you, Fear not, I will help you!”
God will meet you as Jehovah-shammah, The Lord is There. Where? Wherever you are. “For I, the Lord your God, holds your right hand.” Awesome! The Almighty One, our Creator, promises to hold our hand and says to us, Fear not, “I WILL help you!”
“What do you do when you feel alone? Abandoned? You feel forgotten by everyone—maybe even by God? What do you do when an iron bolt slides shut, imprisoning you in difficult circumstances? What do you do? How do you survive?…continue to believe in God because you know God’s name, Jehovah-shammah, The Lord is There.” From Kay Arthur, in Lord, I Want to Know You, Copyright 1992, Multnomah Books.
In Strong’s Concordance, the word for Lord in Isaiah 41:13 is “the self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, the Lord.”
Jehovah Who numbers the hairs on your head, Who knows each time a sparrow falls, promises to hold your hand. He cares about you, and cares watchfully over you. “He will give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.” “His mercies are new every morning; great is His faithfulness; His loving-kindness is from ever lasting to ever lasting,” etc. (NS)
