God Watches Over His Word to Perform It

March 1 – Today meditate on: God Watches Over His Word to Perform It

Jeremiah 1:12, “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”

Are you “watching” for God to perform His Word? Why? Why not?

The Bible says, “Watch and pray. Pray the Word and expect (watch for) God to work on your behalf. He is concerned about everything in your life. His Word is alive and active in your life as you speak it. Watch what you say. Jesus said, “You will have whatsoever you say.” What words come out of your mouth – words of health, positive words or negative words? It doesn’t matter how you feel or how things look, the Word of God stands forever and it is truth and life and health to all your bones. Stand on the Word of God today and everyday. TODAY listen to what you are saying. You will be amazed.

“Will you be made whole?” John 5:1-14, Jesus is asking you. What is your answer?

Vs. :5, the man suffered with a deep-seated and lingering disorder for 38 years.

Vs. :6, Jesus noticed him lying there helpless. He already had been a long time in that condition. Jesus said to him, “Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?]”

Excuses – “but” Vs. :7, “I have nobody to put me into the pool. While I am trying myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me.” No, ifs, ands or buts. Just do what Jesus says to do. No excuses; take responsibility. Vs. :8, Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk?” Vs. :9, Instantly the man became well and recovered his strength and picked up his bed and walked.

Arise from circumstances; lift up those feeble arms; strengthen palsied knees. Jesus didn’t pull the man up off the ground, no, He told him to get up, as He is telling you and I. “Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again,” the old song says. Yes, you can. You can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you, Phil. 4:13. (NS)
