God Wants Quietness in My Daily Walk
January 22 – Today meditate on: God Wants Quietness in My Daily Walk
IN Quietness AND Confidence
Isaiah 30:15, “In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
When you read several different versions of this Bible verse it says, “In quietly trusting in, rely upon, and having confidence in Me, this shall be your strength” When we can just “Cast all our cares upon Him for He cares for you,” 1 Peter 5:7 (Matthew 11:28), and really leave them with Him, then we can just wait in quietness before the Lord. When we are upset, anxious, distraught, then we are of no use to God. We must learn to live in “the peace of God that passes all understanding that keeps our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” and live in the rest He provides, then when things happen we won’t go to pieces, become emotionally distraught, we will hand them over to Jesus and know He worketh.
James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
From Streams in the Desert, Jan. 31:
Job 34:29, He giveth quietness.
John 14:27, Jesus gives us the peace of God (Ephesians 2:14; Philippians 4:7).
“Whatever our faith says God is, He will be.” (NS)
