March 6 – Today mediate on: God Wants Me to Be Continually Thankful

Give Thanks, Give Thanks, Give Thanks!!!

Psalm 107:1-2, O give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure for ever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, when He has delivered from the hand of the adversary.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,” are you saying so? Do your coworkers know you are born again; do your neighbors, your friends? If we don’t “say so” they won’t know. Jesus said you don’t put a light under a bushel; you set it on a lamp stand for all to see. How is your light shining for Jesus today? Is there enough evidence in your life to convict you of being a Christian?

Candle wicks must be trimmed each day. Oil burning lamps must have the wick trimmed each day. Each day we can “trim our wick” by unloading everything from our heart and mind from the day before onto the broad shoulders of the Lord….by confessing sin and asking for forgiveness…by choosing to walk in a spirit of love and forgiveness, etc. (NS)
