December 6 – Today meditate on: God Thinks of Every Minute Detail of My Life
God Knows Everything That Touches My Life
It never ceases to amaze me how God thinks of all the minute details. It must give Him great pleasure to put those little insignificant (to others) details in our lives. I am always amazed at His thoughtfulness and generosity: looking through donated clothing and finding just what I needed; my “pennies from heaven – love notes from God” that He continually (through the years) has put in my pathway; and countless other details. Wow, what a wonderful, considerate, kind and loving God He is! It’s the little niceties that He puts in our day that make the rough times seem not so rough.
His grace and mercy abound to us in the “rough times.” God’s answer to Paul when Paul asked God to remove the “thorn-in-the-flesh” was, “My grace is sufficient for you. For in your weakness, then I can be strong.” And Paul says, “Then I glory in my infirmities that God’s grace and strength rest on me.”
I heard, or read, that a man prayed and God’s answer to him was, “My grace is sufficient for you.” He thought about the God Who created the universe and created mankind and then he laughed as he realized God’s all sufficiency and said, “I should think it is, Lord.” How insignificant our problems are in the presence of the Almighty and Powerful Creator of the Universe!
Pray: “Truly, how insignificant our problems are in Your presence, the Almighty and Powerful Creator of the Universe! How awesome is Your intervention in our problems. I thank You, that You are a miracle working God, my God!” (NS)
