God Prospers Me Wherever I Go
February 24 – Today meditate on: God Prospers Me Wherever I Go
Joshua 1:1-9, “Only you be strong, and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law, which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.”
When can we “do according to all the law?” When we are strong in the Lord and do according to His law. The Bible is our Every Day Owner’s Manual of Maintenance and Repair, for confident victorious living.
God smoothes out the roughness of our character. God prunes off the bad habits, thoughts, attitudes, etc. That’s why in life you always have “sandpaper people” who rub you the wrong way. It is for our good. They help rub off the things (our rough edges) that God doesn’t want in us. Read Romans 8:28; Lam. 3:28; Psalm 25:14. As an artist with hammer and chisel chips away the rough marble and therefore brings forth the beautiful hidden “figure,” so God ever works on us to bring out His likeness in us. (My Bible professor always said she wished “God didn’t think so highly of her.” Meaning she was going through some sanding off time).
Psalm 25:1, “Unto You, O Lord, do I bring my life.
Romans 12:1, present your bodies as a living sacrifice.
When the way seems dark, and we don’t understand all that is going on in our lives, that is where faith says…Romans 8:28…Lam. 3:28…“Faith looks deeper and says, This is God’s secret. You look only on the outside; I can look deeper and see the hidden meaning.” (NS)
