God Loves to Hear Me Sing His Praises

February 12 – Today meditate on: God Loves to Hear Me Sing His Praises

Singing Mountains

Isaiah 49:13, “Sing for joy, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains; for the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion upon His afflicted.”

“Offer to God the sacrifice of praise…the sacrifice of thanksgiving.” All of the Psalms were meant to be sung. Many of them have now been put to music and many congregations sing the Psalms. (Especially those “off the wall” churches whose songs are projected on the wall.) There are also many songs in the rest of the Bible. Jesus said that if the people would not praise Him “the rocks would cry out and the trees of the field will clap their hands.” Determine today to praise the Lord irregardless of how you feel; especially when you don’t feel like it.

Psalm 5:11, “But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.” Psalm 7:17, “…I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.”

We have the priceless privilege of praising the Lord, of fellowshipping with Him. How majestic He is and worthy of our praise.

Exodus 15:1, “I will sing unto the Lord;” Psalm 33:1, “Sing joyfully to the Lord;” 63:7, “I sing in the shadow of Your wings;” 66:2, “Sing to the glory of His name;” 89:1, “I will sing of the Lord’s great love;” 95:1. (NS)
