God Loves to Hear Me Sing
March 14 – Today meditate on: God Loves to Hear Me Sing
Forever Sing the Praises of God!
Psalm 104:33, “I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to God while I have any being.”
Jesus Said:
John 15:11 “I have told you these things that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be full measure and complete and overflowing.”
Vs. :15 “…but I have called you My friends.”
Vs. :16 “You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you–I have appointed you, I have planted you–that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing; that your fruit may be lasting (that is may remain, abide) so that whatever you ask the Father in My name [as presenting all that I AM] He may give it to you.”
Vs. :4,7 “Dwell in Me and I will dwell in you.–Live in Me and I will live in you. If you live in Me–abide vitally united to Me–and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.”
John 14:26-27 “But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby) the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall—will remind you of, bring to your remembrance—everything I have told you. Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid—stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.”
II Corinthians 10:5, “Lead every thought and purpose away captive…to Jesus.”
“Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.—Let Him be your example of humility,” Philippians 2:5.
“Be transformed by the (entire) renewal of your mind,” Romans 12:2.
We must surrender control of our minds to the Holy Spirit. The battle is for the control of your mind. It is a daily struggle, but God says we are victorious in, and with, and through Him. You can do it with the help of the Holy Spirit – you can discipline yourself to “lead every thought and purpose away captive…to Jesus.”
2 Cor. 10:3-5.
Daily renew your mind in the Word of God, every day feeding your spirit-man. Nothing can take its place and nothing can “rev” up your spirit like the Living Word of God. The Word is “active and alive and sharper than any two edged sword,” Hebrews 4:12. Don’t delay; do it today. God wants you free. Jesus came to set the captives free. Blessed be the Lord God of Hosts! Determine once and for all that God is in control of your life and what He said He would do, He will do! (NS)
