January 26 – Today meditate on: God Leads My Every Step
Psst – Don’t Go That Way!
Isaiah 30:21, “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.”
“When you turn to the right hand” this would mean that you would have to be in motion, walking, not sitting and contemplating God’s direction. Making decisions, especially big ones, is sometimes difficult because at the moment we may not see God’s leading. When we are in doubt about which choice to make, we must remember to pursue the inner witness of peace. In decision making God will give the confirmation of our decision by His peace in our spirit-man, we will have a quietness of spirit, knowing that-we-know, that-we-know, that-we-know which way to proceed. If you feel a check in your spirit-man do not proceed until God shows you the way. Perhaps the way is not yet cleared for you to proceed; something still needs to happen to open the way for you. God will also confirm the decisions you’ve made after praying and seeking His will, by His Word – the Scriptures, or perhaps by a word you hear in a sermon, in a Christian article you’re reading, or from a dear Christian friend. A word of caution here, be very careful from whom you seek advise. Make sure they are a born again spirit filled Christian whose only desire is for your good. Personally I don’t go to others for advise. I might in brief discuss it with a dear Christian friend, or simply ask for prayer, but I go to my heavenly Father and ask Him. After all He certainly knows what is best for me; His plans for me are perfect. (NS)
