God is My Benefactor
March 15 – Today mediate on: God is My Benefactor
Gratefully Praise!
Psalm 103:2, “Bless—affectionately, gratefully praise—the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of all] His benefits.”
God doesn’t suggest that we praise Him, He commands us to praise Him! (Commands are commands, not suggestions.) Something wonderful begins to happen when we praise the Lord. One: we forget ourselves and our circumstances and just get lost in praising Him. Praise lifts you up and out of yourself. God inhabits the praises of His people. We can offer to God the sacrifice of praise. We don’t always “feel” like praising God, so at these times, we can praise God as a sacrifice unto Him, which is pleasing to Him.
“Prayer Requires Patience:
“Which of my prayers seem to have no satisfying answer?
“God always answers the stumbling questions which arise out of personal problems. We bristle with interrogation points, but we don’t wait for the answer because we do not intend to listen to it.” —Oswald Chambers (NS)
