God Has Commanded My Strength
January 20 – Today meditate on: God Has Commanded My Strength
Psalm 68:28, “Your God has commanded your strength [your might in His service and impenetrable hardness to temptation]. O God, display Your might and strengthen what You have wrought for us!”
One of my favorite sections of Scripture is Joshua 1:1-9, where God says, “Be strong [confident] and of good courage…Only you be strong, and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law…Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous and very courageous; be not afraid neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Jeremiah 30:10).
“Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” “God has become my strength.” “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Recognize your strength comes from the Lord Who made the heavens and the earth. He watches over His Word to perform it. Stand tall, be strong in the Lord today! Walk in the power of God today and everyday! “The strength which His boundless might provides.”
Jeremiah 30:3, released from captivity. Vs. :8, break the oppressor’s yoke from off your neck. Vs. :10-11, fear not; I will save you. Vs. :17, restore health; heal your wounds. Vs. :22, you shall be My people and I will be your God.
Jeremiah 31:3, God’s everlasting love. Vs. :4, again I will build you. Vs. :10, I will keep him as a shepherd… Vs. :11, ransomed, redeemed – “from the hand of him who was too strong for him.”
Genesis 32:10, “I will surely do thee good.” Genesis 32:9-12. (NS)
