God Does Not Break Bruised People

February 6 – God Does Not Break Bruised People

Isaiah 42:3, “A bruised reed He will not break, and a dimly burning wick He will not quench; He will bring forth justice in truth.” Read Matthew 12:17-21, 7:29.

When we are hurting and bruised Jesus comes to hold us, comfort us, bring healing to our spirit, soul and body. He doesn’t break us. When life, and/or the devil bruise us, Jesus is there as Jehovah-rapha, The God Who Heals. There is a Balm in Gilead, there is A Great Physician there, Jeremiah 8:22, Jeremiah 17:14. Jehovah-rapha heals all our bruises, binds up all our wounds, heals our broken heartedness, soothes our feverish brow, Isaiah 61:1-4. As we read the Word of God and our lives are transformed, Romans 12:2, we can build up our faith so we can learn to walk in divine health. Jesus has already redeemed us from sickness and disease, Isaiah 53:4-5; Galatians 3:13-14; 3 John 2; Deut. 28. We have health. We have The Healer – Jesus, our Jehovah-rapha. God is in the business of healing the mind and emotions. I am living proof of the power and healing of the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12, “God’s Word is alive and active…” Psalm 107:20, “He sent forth His Word and healed me.” He will do for you what He has done for me.

Jesus said to the man by the pool of Bethesda, “Will you be made whole?” The decision is yours. Jesus is asking YOU: Will you be made whole in Jesus today? Healing takes time, it’s a process; be patient. In Isaiah it says, “unfolding the past until all is told.” We must unfold all the past, give it to Jesus, allow Him to heal the hurts we have suffered and then forget the past leaving it in His hands.
