January 28 – Today meditate on: God’s Will for My Life is My Treasure

Isaiah 33:6, “There shall be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the reverent fear and worship of the Lord is your treasure and His.”

What do you think of when you hear the word “treasure?” Isaiah 45:3, “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name.” (Psalm 18:28). What do you treasure most? Would you be willing to give it as a sacrifice unto the Lord?

Exodus 19:5, “Now therefore, if you will obey My voice in truth and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own peculiar possession and treasure from among and above all peoples; for all the earth is Mine.” (1 Peter 2:9).

2 Corinthians 4:7, “We possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel]…”

Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus said, “Do not gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures on earth….But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven…For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (NS)
