Dr. Dan Thompson - Apostle at Emmanuel Worship Center - San Antonio
Dr. Dan Thompson has been serving Christ in ministry for over 50 years. As of late, he has resigned his position as Senior Pastor and has been named Apostle for Emmanuel Worship Center. He pastored his first church, Bullard Chapel in Oklahoma in 1958 and was ordained in Shawnee, Oklahoma on February 15, 1959. Dr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University, and a Doctorate of Divinity from Shreveport Baptist College.
On June 9, 1960 he married the love of his life, Susie Thompson, and was happily married for 47 years until she went home to be with The Father on February 13, 2007. This love affair produced two wonderful sons, and daughter-in-laws, as well as six beautiful grandchildren, five girls and one boy.
Pastor Dan has pastored several churches including Hilltop Baptist, Shawnee, OK, First Baptist, Maud, OK, Emmanuel Baptist, Moore, OK, Church On The Rock, San Antonio, TX, and at present Emmanuel Worship Center, San Antonio, TX.
When Pastor Dan received the Baptism of The Holy Spirit in 1987, it changed his life in ways that he cannot count. Now as a non-denominational, Charismatic Christian and Pastor, he brings forth a message of love and hope laced with biblical knowledge and principles. The vision that God has placed within his heart is to reach out and not only touch a hurting generation, but also, to teach and train up this generation to serve in the capacity in which God has given them gifts to serve so that they may indeed reach hurting generations.
Pastor Dan welcomes you to Emmanuel Worship Center and prays that you will come, enter into worship, feast on God’s word, and join a family that truly loves you.
Our Vision
For the covenant word of God, through the Holy Spirit, to become active and operative in the lives of people, to bring peace, purpose, and power, so that we may touch a hurting generation.
Our Mission
To establish our purpose and destiny by fulfilling the teaching of Jesus Christ and him crucified as ordained by God through serving one another, by seeking the lost while destroying the works of the enemy, and by the laying on of hands to heal the sick. We are committed to providing ministry opportunities so that The Body of Christ can utilize the gifts that have been given by God, in order that we may fulfill our vision statement by ministering to the total person – spirit, soul and body, to accomplish the task of building the Kingdom of God by listening, as Jesus did, to the voice of the Father.
I Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
“…eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
